Cambodia Travel Costs and Sample Budgets

Cambodia can suit different travel styles, but a useful budget separates daily comfort from major tickets, long transfers and occasional experiences. Treat every figure as a planning range and recheck real prices for your dates.

Costs people forget

Leave separate room for international card or cash-machine fees, airport transfers, temple passes, guides, laundry, drinking water, travel insurance, mobile service and the extra night that protects an onward flight. Islands and remote areas can cost more to supply and may offer fewer payment options.

Use cash without carrying the whole trip

Cambodian riel and US dollars are both encountered, while cards and QR payments are increasingly visible. Carry smaller clean notes and riel for everyday purchases, keep a second payment method separately and never rely on a single cash machine.
