Cambodia changes quickly, and no single team sees all of it. If you have been somewhere recently, live here, or grew up here, you can help keep this handbook accurate and useful.

Everything sent here is read by the Cambodia Handbook team before anything is published. We check facts, edit lightly for clarity, and credit you by the name you choose.

Write for us

If you live in Cambodia, or know a region well, tell us what you would like to write. Residents and locals are especially welcome. We will reply by email before anything is published.

Offer a photo

Some places have only an older photo here, and we would love a recent one. Any province is welcome, but these need one most.

Photos wanted right now

  • Kandal: Oudong, the old royal capital, and the Mekong countryside
  • Preah Vihear: the Preah Vihear temple and the northern forests
  • Mondulkiri: waterfalls, hills and the elephant sanctuaries
  • Oddar Meanchey: Anlong Veng and the Dangrek mountains
  • Kep: the coast and the crab market (our current photo is from 2020)
  • Your own photo, taken in 2023 or later.
  • Landscape (wide) orientation, at least 2000 pixels across.
  • Places, landscapes, food and everyday scenes work best. Please avoid close-up portraits of people who have not agreed to be photographed.
  • You keep the copyright. We publish a resized copy with your credit, after review.

Send a link rather than the file: a shared folder, Google Drive, Dropbox or Instagram post is fine. We will write back before anything is used.

What you get

A credit with your chosen name on anything we use, including photos, a place on a Contributors page as it grows, and the thanks of everyone who reads a corrected page. Early contributors will be listed as founding contributors.
